The Yarn Haven Crafting Retreat...
Join us at our annual retreat on Friday, February 24 - Sunday, February 26 at the Tuckaleechee Retreat Center in Townsend. Cost will be $225 which includes 2 nights lodging (with 2 to a room), 5 meals, a workshop, door prizes and lots more. Pick up a flyer with all the details and a registration form at either of our shops. A $100 non-refundable deposit and registration form will hold your spot and must be paid by 12/30/11. The remaining balance of $125 is due by 1/31/12. Deposit will be refunded ONLY if we are able to fill your spot. Come spend a weekend away relaxing while meeting up with old friends and making new ones! This would be a great Christmas present to ask for from your family! Only a few spots left!!!
Wrap Me Up Club...
The Wrap Me Up Club meets on the 1st Saturday each month from 10 am - Noon. The Wrap Me Up is a gorgeous wrap using lots of different techniques. It will take up to 12 skeins of Noro Silk Garden OR about 7 skeins of Silk Garden Lite...and about 200-300 yards of a solid yarn. If buying that much yarn all at once will put a strain on your budget, don't worry. We'll be glad to hold your yarn for you and let you buy it as you need it. We have several models of different Wrap Me Ups on display. So stop by and see them and then come join us for $10 per session and learn lots of knitting techniques while making a one-of-a-kind wrap.

Need help with a project? Come learn how to get back on track or start your next project. This is a drop-in class so you can come as you need help. Every Wednesday morning from 10 am - Noon at our Farragut shop. Only $10/class.

Carrying Knitting Needles on Airplanes...
Many people ask us whether or not they can take knitting needles on airplanes when they travel. We have all heard tales of needles being confiscated during travel even though the TSA allows you to carry knitting needles in your carry-on luggage. So just to be safe, print out a copy of the TSA rules and take them with you. Then if anyone opposed your right to take your knitting needles, you can pull out your copy of the TSA rules as proof that they are allowed.
School Coupons...
The Yarn Haven has a coupon in the School Coupon book again this year. We had a huge response to our offer the last 2 years. Each customer can use up to 4 coupons per year. But if you use your coupons wisely, you'll be able to save up to $100 on your purchases from now until next August. Certain items in the shop are excluded from the offer as are classes, special orders, and gift certificates. So be sure to buy one of the School Coupon books this year and support our Knox County Schools.
