Here's a soft comfortable turtleneck made with fingering weight yarn.  The slimming look of this sweater is achieved by working stripes vertically rather than horizontally.  The stitches form textured ridges that are echoed in the side and shoulder seams.  Intermediate crocheters will enjoy making an exciting look that's totally comfortable to wear and not too difficult to make.
